More flexible rules at the end of your LCV contract

Of course your van will not quite look like new at the end of its leasing period. This is why from now on we will be more flexible about minor damage when you return your van. That will already relieve you of some worry.

Important: this change also applies for contracts in effect now.

From today, we will handle the categories of damage below in the following ways when you hand in your van:

  • Scratches and rust on the rims
Will be acceptable as long as rims are not bent.
  • Mounting holes for one device in the dashboard
Will be acceptable up to a maximum of five holes. Though any holes for a second device will be invoiced.
  • Scratches and scuff marks on the plastic bumper at the back
These were already acceptable at the top, but from today they will also be OK on the sides up to 20 cm. Larger scratches will be invoiced at a smart repair tariff as follows: €90 for the first scratch/scuff mark; €45 each for the second and third scratch and/or scuff mark on the same bumper; from the fourth scratch and/or scuff mark, we will invoice a “replacement”.
  • Holes in carpets
Will be invoiced at a smart repair tariff. Hole size will not matter.

The following list of damages will also be acceptable:

  • Scratches and scuff marks on black mirror caps
  • Scratches, scuff marks, rust and small dents in/on the load platform
  • Damage to the wooden reinforcements in the load area
  • Dents in the sides of the van up to maximum three dents of maximum 5 cm (used to be two dents of 2 cm)
  • Holes in tyres

Below are a few clear photos to illustrate the process and the acceptable damage:
