Travelling outside the European Union
Since 31 March 2006 it is prohibited to use Belgian lease cars outside of the European
Union, without having obtained prior written consent of the lesser.
(with the exception of Switzerland, Andorra, Liechtenstein en Monaco)
If you intend to travel outside of the European Union with your leasePlan car, you can obtain the required certificate from our Driver Care Department by mailing us at drivercare@leaseplan.be.
Please include the following information in your e-mail as well as providing us the approval of your fleet manager.
- license plate
- vehicle identification number (which can be found at the bottom (E - VIK) of the pink immatriculation document)
- destination
- duration of your stay abroad
The certificate will be posted to your company's address or your private address if this is
specified in your demand.
Please keep in mind that the certificate is only valid for a maximum period of six months.
