Towing hook
The first time you should take the initiative to undertake the technical inspection, unless
the installer of the towing hook has already done this.
Upon delivery of the car with a towing hook, please check that the test certificate is present
in the car. LeasePlan cannot be held responsible if you do not have valid test certificate.
After this first spontaneous test we distinguish between:
- Towing hooks that support trailers with a maximum permitted gross weight exceeding 750 kg. In this case you should take your car for technical inspection annually. Reimbursements of these costs are generally not provided for in the contract.
- Towing hooks that only pull light trailers (up to 750 kg) or are equipped with a bicycle or motorcycle carrier. In this case, remember to request an exemption during the first spontaneous test. You should bring your car for an annual technical inspection from the time it is four years old.
