Overhauls
As the driver, you are responsible for making sure that your car is serviced at the recommended intervals. The information you need can be found in the service booklet of your lease car. You should also regularly check the levels of cooling liquid, windscreen wash, engine oil and the condition of the tyres.
Make an appointment
- Make an appointment at a garage approved by the manufacturer and inform it of the work to be carried out.
- Indicate to the garage that you have a LeasePlan vehicle and that prior approval must be sought from LeasePlan.
- On the agreed day, please ensure that the vehicle documents and the maintenance booklet are in the vehicle.
- The garage will only carry out work approved by LeasePlan. We make sure that your car is properly maintained and require the manufacturer-approved garage to contact us about any maintenance or repairs that need to be carried out to the vehicle, with a view to getting you the best value for money.
Invoicing takes place directly between the garage and LeasePlan. You do not have to pay anything on the spot.
Abroad
It is generally better not to allow repairs and maintenance to be carried out abroad. For
this reason, you are advised to check your vehicle before leaving so that foreign repairs and
maintenance costs can be kept to a minimum.
If it proves necessary, you will have to pay all the costs yourself. The invoice must be made
out in the name of the owner of the vehicle as stated on the registration certificate.
LeasePlan will reimburse your expenditure when we receive the request for reimbursement
accompanied by the invoice.
