LeasePlan supports you throughout the process
Damage to you leased car is unpleasant enough in itself. So it’s good to know what you should do if it happens to you. LeasePlan supports you through the entire claims process.
What if there is an accident involving another party?
- If anyone is injured, always notify the emergency services first (tel. 112).
- In the event of an accident complete the European Accident Form carefully and immediately.
This can be found in the folder with the vehicle documents.
- Both parties must complete all boxes on the front of the form and sign jointly.
- Remember to sketch the location, using crosses to clarify the sketch and adding comments.
- Always ensure that you have noted the names and addresses of any witnesses.
- Complete the reverse of the accident form.
- If you do not agree with the circumstances of the accident or you are the victim of a hit and run, immediately notify the police (tel. 112) who will prepare a report. If the police prepare a written report, you should still send your part of the accident form containing your version of events to LeasePlan. If the police refuse to attend the scene, please fill out the accident form without signing it.
- If the vehicle is insured by LeasePlan, please notify us through our DriverCare staff (+32-78-150 600). If your vehicle is not insured by LeasePlan, we recommend that you contact your Fleet Manager to talk about what you need to do next.
- Send us the European Accident Form within 48 hours including, where applicable:
a. the reference number of police report
b. the address of the authority responsible for issuing the report. - If your vehicle is so badly damaged that you cannot continue driving, you can rely on LeasePlan-Assistance, as long as this service is included in your contract.

If your LeasePlan car has taken a hammering, a simple phone call to our department Driver Care at +32-78-150 600 will do. While you hold the line, one of our employees draws up a damage file. You will be told immediately where you can bring in your car for expertise and repair since LeasePlan works with a recognized repair network.
